What is Reisaru?

First, we must go back in time to 2012, when an anime by the name of K Project aired. For anyone who has never watched it (i wouldn't recommend it), basically a giant magic rock grants people magic powers in modern day Tokyo. Mostly it gives random people random powers, but it also picks 7 special "Kings" who are given Extra Powerful psychic powers with varying attributes which are represented by a unique color. (Disclaimer: attributes may be vaguely defined and changed as needed for Aesthetic) (Disclaimer: definitions of what constitutes a "unique" color may vary) Each King may also grant others a fraction of their power, forming a "Clan."For our purposes we'll be focusing on the Blue King, Munakata Reisi. As Blue King, Munakata is in charge of an organization called Scepter 4, a specialized police force that deals with supernatural incidents. Fushimi Saruhiko is one such member of Scepter 4, personally scouted by Munakata and acting as third-in-command. Fushimi stands out in S4 for a multitude of reasons: he's the youngest member of the clan, he doesn't seem to show Munakata any real respect yet gets free reign to do whatever he wants, and he used to be a member of the Red Clan, which (surprise) isn't on good terms with the Blue Clan. Munakata nonetheless is openly partial to Fushimi, and despite Fushimi's attitude he never fails to do whatever Munakata asks of him.From there, well, uh...we're left to infer much of the minutia of their relationship since it is never particularly given the spotlight, and with both of them being allergic to saying things in a straightforward way it can be difficult to grasp what's going on in their heads. But that's what I'm here to try and do!

Why Reisaru?

here's just a few of my favorite things

-Fushimi wants to be a part of something bigger than himself, something with purpose - Munakata has that vision and drive.-Fushimi is branded as a traitor for switching from the Red Clan to Blue by people from both sides, but Munakata has never thought of him this way.-Munakata is incredibly open with his praise towards Fushimi, to the point where it’s widely known within Scepter 4 that he’s “the Captain’s favorite.” Fushimi is well aware of this designation and has no qualms about using it to his advantage.-Munakata’s intimidating demeanor makes him hard to approach, but Fushimi doesn’t place him on a pedestal and freely speaks his mind, being one of few who is willing to openly criticize him. Munakata likes that Fushimi challenges him, even if sometimes he may be complaining just for the sake of complaining.-Meanwhile Fushimi's caustic and dishonest nature makes it difficult for others to get along with him, but Munakata can see right through the front he puts up and is unaffected by his harsh words. Munakata gives Fushimi the space and freedom to be himself without fear of being judged or needing to restrain himself.-They can both keep up with each other intellectually. Though Fushimi would likely say he’s one step below Munakata, Munakata greatly values Fushimi’s different perspective and unorthodox solutions to problems.-The swords Scepter 4 wields are all named by their owners, but Fushimi couldn't be bothered to think of one for his - so Munakata names it "Subaru," after the star cluster Pleaides, which matches Munakata's own sword "Tenrou," Sirius.-idk i just think it's neat that they're blue and purple
